Electric Fields & Mathematica

My first thought when this project was presented to us, I knew that I wanted to apply what we’ve learned in class to physics in some way, physics being my intended major. Vector fields can be applied to physics in a multitude of ways, but for the sake of simplicity, I solely focused on electric fields. This way, I could really hone in on the topic and explain it thoroughly.

Because physics is the topic and it notoriously can get confusing, I wanted to make sure I didn’t lose anyone who views the poster. So I chose rather simple concepts that a lot of people, even those outside of the STEM field, generally understand about electricity and electric charges. “Opposites attract” and “same repels.” The rest is elaborated on within the poster, so you should have minimal trouble understanding what you see! With this poster I hope to teach you and anyone else who may see it the basics on how electric fields work and function on a physical level.
