I enjoy sharing the beauty and excitment of mathematics with a wider audience. Some of the projects I have done in partnership with my students include:
- a movie about the Costa minimal surface which became part of the math exhibit Beyond Numbers at the Maryland Science Center.
- a public math event which created the world’s largest Sierpinski triangle out of K’NEX pieces.
- an art gallery of images created by the students in my Multi-variable Calculus course.
- computer generated images of the first surfaces known to exist in three dimensional space whose geodesic (ie straight line) motion is chaotic.
