Whose Head is Bigger?

We wanted to do this project because we wanted to do something silly and fun with the math we learned this semester. Integrals were something we both enjoyed to the practical uses for them, so we tried to come up with an idea for a volume to measure using integrals. When we thought of our head sizes, we instantly knew that it was what we were looking for.

We used multivariable integrals in order to find the volumes. Specifically, we used spherical and cylindrical coordinates, which were great tools to simplify the calculations. We then calculated the integrals and found overestimated volumes of our head. We also used Desmos to model the shapes we used for our heads to give a visual.
