3D Modeling of the Fruit Platter

Our group is concerned about good health and we think fruits are a good source for acquiring various types of vitamins. Therefore, we plan to draw a variety of fruits using parametric equations. Parametric equations are particularly useful for describing curves and paths in two or three-dimensional space, especially when the path is not easily represented by a single function. They provide a way to describe complex shapes, such as ellipses, spirals, and other curves, by breaking down the motion into components.

In this project, parametric equations serve as the backbone of our modeling approach, allowing us to express the spatial coordinates of each point on the fruit’s surface in terms of mathematical parameters. This not only enables us to draw a precise model of the fruit’s form but also provides the flexibility to manipulate its shape, size, and features.
