Houston, We Have A Multivariable Calculus Problem!

We decided to combine our interest in space with the knowledge we gained in our
Multivariable Calculus class. In class we learned how to model various 3D shapes like bowls and spheres using Mathematica. We used this program to create shapes naturally found in space like planets and black holes. The biggest issue we encountered while using this program was becoming familiar with it. There were times when the program would quit unexpectedly and force us to redo all our work. We also had trouble figuring out how to apply textures to different shapes. In the end, though, we had a lot of fun learning how to use Mathematica and we are really proud of our final work.
